More and more changing constraints favorized the emergence of new trends in the IT expertise market. Digital transformation projects that usually take around 6 to 12 months to decide and 2 to 3 years to implement no longer represent what today's customer demands. Today’s customers, awakened by the COVID-19 crisis, want short-term projects that offer tangible value as soon as possible. A total change of horizon, presenting customer decision cycles that do not exceed 3 months, and this is exactly how we are tackling our projects at Keyrus MEA. We focus on delivering value to our customers early and often, across Africa and the middle east.

This change prompted Keyrus MEA to rethink the working methodologies of its development teams by introducing the DevOps mindset. The idea is to apply Agile principles outside of the development team, in particular, the following Agile principle: “Any change, even late, in requirements during development is welcome. Agile processes turn change into a competitive advantage for the customer. "DevOps, spins mainly around the application of the following principle" Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable product. In other words, our priority is to focus primarily on delivering valuable products to customers early and continuously. "

Often, teams struggle to run fragile systems that are business-critical. This is why these systems require, regularly, the most urgent changes. As such, the Agile principle of embracing change does not mean "blindly applying change". It is a question of holding the development teams responsible for the quality of their changes, while improving the overall ability to provide business value, (i.e.: the application of the 'You build it, you run it' concept developed by Amazon). Another common point between Agile and DevOps is the focus on business value.
